Botleys Mansion is a magnificent Grade ll listed Palladian Mansion built in the 1760s and situated in 56 acres of parkland in Chertsey.
If you are looking for a great Botleys Mansion Wedding photographer then look no further.
As you pass the iron gates and drive down the long meandering drive you get a glimpse through the trees of the majestic looking mansion house and as you near the fountain at the front, you appreciate the sheer size of this inspiring Surrey wedding venue.
You immediately sense the feeling of grandeur as you ascend the double flight of stone stairs and enter the wonderful marble-paved hall complete with impressive Scagliola Columns and Ionic pilasters and of course a grand piano.
For capturing the Bride getting ready with her Bridesmaids upstairs there is the lovely Bridal suite, classic, bright, spacious and with wonderful views.
Botleys Mansion is part of the Bijou Group which also includes Cain Manor, Notley Abbey and Silchester House and they are run very professionally and smoothly with an exacting eye to detail and comfort.

A Botleys Mansion wedding photographer's perspective
What makes Botleys mansion such a great Surrey wedding venue and one that you love returning to is its wonderful grand oppulence and discrete countryside setting...it's the perfect place for some truly classic and memorable wedding photography.
From Country Manor House...
There is little to tell about the site where Botley Mansion stands…ownership of the orginal manor house can be traced back to 1319 but it passed hands many times even in to those of Henry Vlll in 1541.
The current mansion was built in the 1760s to replace the old manor house and after changing ownership a number of times was bought by London County Council in 1931 for £30,000.
Used to house hospital staff who treated mental health patients at the local Botleys Park and St Peter's Hospitals it changed use to receive wounded soldiers from WW2 and then became a nurses home...in 1995 it was severely damaged by fire and was closed down in 1997.
To Luxury Surrey Wedding Venue
In 2010 Botleys Mansion was bought and rennovated by the Bijou wedding venues group (which includes Cain Manor, Notley Abbey and Chateau du Bijou) and is now a very highly thought of and successful country mansion wedding venue.
With its dramatic sweeping stone staircases leading to the the Scagliola Columned hallway and then off to all the various public rooms and private ones, it offers so much opportunity for truly wonderful, memorable wedding photography.
The only problem for a wedding phoptographer is being able to fit in all the great photo opportunites in the time allowed.
There's something truly magical about getting married at Botleys Mansion…you feel it as you walk up the grand stone staircase and enter that rarefied marble hall...this is a place where your childhood fairytale dreams really can come true

Getting Married at Botleys Mansion - what to expect
There are two wonderful ceremony rooms at Botleys Mansion: the elegant and intimate Green Room which has a capacity of up to 131 people and the striking glass ceilinged Atrium which can hold up to 250 seated guests.
During room turnarounds guests typically gather in the marble hall, on the stone staircase and around the fountain and lawn area. For outside weddings there is the lovely Temple Gardens and also the Mansion Lawn.

The magnificient Atrium, with its impressive descent down a grand black and gold balustraded staircase and sparkling chandeliers into a large well lit area has a real wow factor.
Perfect for large wedding ceremonies, it can be expanded from its normal 140 capacity to up to 250 seated guests and is blessed with an abundance of natural light flooding in from the glass atrium roof as well as from the far end doors and windows.
And what an entrance for the Bride on her father's arm as they excitedly walk down the steps and along the white carpet aisle for the marriage ceremony.
With plenty of space for a wedding photographer to move during the reception speeches and later, on the dance floor, you can expect a wealth of wonderful pictures telling the unfolding story as it happend.
With its own bar and doors leading outside, this a great place to celebrate into the night....especially as it can accomodate up to 500 people.

I love being a documentary wedding photographer, for me it's an all consuming affair and one that is always rewarding. After 15 years and over 500 weddings I still find every one a unique and exciting event. To me it’s not just a job, it is my passion.

Having been a professional, full-time wedding photographer for over twelve years, Tina now concentrates her time in the studio, editing all our wedding images, designing wedding albums and ordering prints, an area that she is passionate about and which perfectly suits her previous interior design skills.
Keeping everything in-house in this way also means we don’t keep our couples waiting longer than they should to see the wonderful picture story of their wedding. We also let you know the date when your photos will be ready to view so you don't have to chase us for an update and we pride ourselves on presenting them on time.
