Horsley Towers is a wonderful looking Victorian Gothic Surrey wedding venue set in 70 acres of Surrey parkland and brimming with photographic opportunities.
So if you are looking for an experienced Horsley Towers Wedding Photographer then look no further.
Along with extensive lawns and a large picturesque lake is the eccentric Gothic building itself with its dramatic cylindrical towers, magical turrets and battlements and all constructed from a distinctive combination of flint and brickwork.
In addition, there are the wonderfully exciting enclosed cloisters which in turn lead you to the beautiful and mysterious Chapel, both secret and hidden away and 'must be seen features' that you simply must get photographed in.
With a large homely bar and the impressive grand Great Hall and the very intimate and relaxed Sopwith Room and all looked after by the friendly, experienced and attentive staff, this a very relaxed and informal Surrey wedding venue full of fun and one that's a pleasure to return to.

A Horsley Towers wedding photographer's perspective
What makes Horsley Towers such a great Surrey venue and one that you love returning to is its wonderful and exciting wedding photography opportunities along with its welcoming, relaxed and fun atmosphere.
From Gothic Mansion...
Built in 1820 for the distiller and banker William Currie, this unique Victorian Gothic mansion was designed by the renowned architect Sir Charles Barry who most famously designed the Houses of Parliament.
After William Currie's death in 1829 Horsley Towers (or East Horsley Park as it was then called) was purchased by the First Earl of Lovelace and it became the marital home of Ada Lovelace (the daughter of the poet Lord Byron).
To show off his wealth and status Lord Lovelace started renovating East Horsley Park. Along with the Clock Tower he added the Great Hall, the exquiste Chapel and Cloisters and most famously the ornate Italian Tower. The building of a 2nd tower led to it being renamed Horsley Towers.

Horsley Towers later became the home of Sir Thomas Sopwith the famous pioneering aviator and inventor of the Sopwith Camel, a single-seat biplane fighter first used in 1917 during the First World War.

Today this wonderful Grade ll listed building is run by the De Vere Group which includes amongst it's select list of hotels such venues as De Vere Latimer Estate in Buckinghamshire, De Vere Beaumont Estate in Windsor and De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London. As well as being a very popular and successful Wedding and Events venue De Vere Horsley estate also includes modern accommodation at Horsley Court as well as extensive conference facilities at Horsley Management Centre.

Getting Married at Horsley Towers - what to expect
The Great Hall and The Sopworth Room are the two marriage ceremony and reception room options at Horsley Towers. During the room turnarounds, guests are able to relax and socialise in the large bar or out in the lovely grounds.
Great Hall wedding and reception photography
At the spiritual heart of Horsley Towers is the grand and atmospheric Great Hall. This large, high ceilinged area with its rich wooden panelling complete with an array of over 150 coats of arms, has a capacity of up to 110 seated guests for both the marriage ceremony and reception.
With plenty of room to work in, there are plenty of opportunities to capture both the marriage ceremony and the speeches later during the wedding breakfast.
A quick run out of the Great Hall and up the grand staircase takes your nimble wedding photographer up to the Great Hall minstrel gallery, offering a fabulous bird's eye view of the proceedings below.
Depending on the couple's preference and numbers, the hall is either turned around during the drinks reception for the celebratory dinner, or guests dine in the Sopwith Room.
During the turnaround guests can mingle outside on the large lawn and terrace or in the cosy and welcoming bar.
Sopwith Room wedding and reception photography
The light and airy Sopwith Room is a lovely alternative to the Great Hall especially for smaller numbers and can be used for both the marriage ceremony and reception.
Situated at the bottom of the grand staircase, it benefits from being bathed in natural light all down one side and has an intimate and cosy feel to it with pleasant views over the side terrace garden and lawn beyond.
During room turnarounds, guests can mingle in the hallway outside along with the adjacent bar as well as outside in the gardens.
For the first dance and a night of dancing adjacent to the Sopworth Room is the Charles Barry Room and opposite the ever popular bar, that is renowned for staying open until there are no more customers, you're sure to have a wonderful night of celebrations.

Having been a professional, full-time wedding photographer for over twelve years, Tina now concentrates her time in the studio, editing all our wedding images, designing wedding albums and ordering prints, an area that she is passionate about and which perfectly suits her previous interior design skills.
Keeping everything in-house in this way also means we don’t keep our couples waiting longer than they should to see the wonderful picture story of their wedding. We also let you know the date when your photos will be ready to view so you don't have to chase us for an update and we pride ourselves on presenting them on time.

As well as helping us design and constantly improve our website he keeps our systems ticking over nice and smoothly so that everything works tickety-boo.
When Larry is not working with us he is an accomplished full-time artist, exhibiting his eye-catching work in the UK and around the world.
We can't say anymore though or show his face, he's a bit of a Banksy.
