Wedding ceremonies take place in the majestic Great Drawing Room whilst receptions play out in the atmospheric Long Hall which also includes the Brick Gallery and Courtyard Garden.
The Courtyard Garden is a pretty place for relaxed and informal reportage photography as guests chat over champagne and canapés. The drive and the gardens that surround the Courtyard and famous for its rhododendrons and azaleas, offer plenty of exciting and beautiful backdrops for some personal, romantic wedding couple pictures, away from the celebrations.
St Mary's Church is a short drive from Ramster Hall as are The Swan and The Crown public houses which are popular marriage and getting ready venues respectively.
We particularly enjoy working at this picturesque venue and rate it highly for its lovely, relaxed and tranquil setting and first-class wedding service...the staff are always welcoming, professional and helpful and it's a very pleasant Surrey wedding venue to return to.

A Ramster Hall wedding photographer's perspective
What makes Ramster Hall such a great Surrey venue and one that you love returning to is its wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and picturesque setting...all perfect for beautiful wedding photography.
From simple 'Rams Nest' Barn...
The oldest part of this lovely historic family home dates from the early 17th century, when it was built by a wealthy glass maker but it later became a farm and the Long Hall was built at the end of the 17th century as a five-bay barn opening onto the farmyard, now thecourtyard. Rams Nest (as it was then called) continued a peaceful farming existence with the house being updated over the centuries.
...To fine Edwardian Country House
Then in 1900 it was bought and converted into an Edwardian country house. The barn changed into the present magnificent beamed and panelled Long Hall which is over 100 feet long with a vast inglenook fireplace and the Great Drawing Room. The Brick Gallery was also built and the foundations of the present gardens, famous for its stunning rhododendrons and azaleas.
There's something magical about getting married at Ramster Hall…you feel it as you first see the rustic buiding at the end of the tree lined drive...and then again as you walk from the delightful Courtyard Garden into the wonderfully atmospheric Long Hall

Getting Married at Ramster Hall - what to expect
Great Drawing Room and Long Hall photography
Marriage ceremonies take place in the grand and majestic Great Drawing Room. With a capacity of up to 160 guests it benefits from natural light from two sides and has rich wooden panelled walls and a beamed vaulted ceiling.
For the wedding breakfast and reception there is the wonderful Long Hall which also can seat up to 160 guests. It is 100 feet in length and is blessed with an old beamed ceiling, wooden floors and panelled walls and is beautifully lit up with fairy lights that give it a particular magical ambience.
A minstrel gallery also offers a great opportunity for a nimble wedding photographer to catch some truly atmospheric bird eye view pictures from both rooms.
Guests can walk out to the Courtyard Garden or further up the drive to the large lawn for the drinks reception and they also have access to The Brick Hall which they can enter from The Great Drawing Room or from the Courtyard garden.

I love being a documentary wedding photographer, for me it's an all consuming affair and one that is always rewarding. After 15 years and over 500 weddings I still find every one a unique and exciting event. To me it’s not just a job, it is my passion.

Having been a professional, full-time wedding photographer for over twelve years, Tina now concentrates her time in the studio, editing all our wedding images, designing wedding albums and ordering prints, an area that she is passionate about and which perfectly suits her previous interior design skills.
Keeping everything in-house in this way also means we don’t keep our couples waiting longer than they should to see the wonderful picture story of their wedding. We also let you know the date when your photos will be ready to view so you don't have to chase us for an update and we pride ourselves on presenting them on time.

Larry
As well as helping us design and constantly improve our website he keeps our systems ticking over nice and smoothly so that everything works tickety-boo.
When Larry is not working with us he is an accomplished full-time artist, exhibiting his eye-catching work in the UK and around the world.
We can't say anymore though or show his face, he's a bit of a Banksy.
