A Wotton House wedding photographer's perspective
What makes Wotton House such a great Surrey wedding venue and one that you love returning to is its wonderful and totally unique features and its lovely and relaxed environment...all perfect for some truly memorable wedding photography.
From the Domesday Book of 1086...
Wotton House was first mentioned in the Domesday Book back in 1086. Originally being a moated manor house it was bought by the Evelyn family from the proceeds of their gunpowder mills.
...To fascinating Grottos
There are two Grade ll listed Pulhamite grottos (Pulhamite was a rock composite invented by James Pulham and has the look of gritty sandstone and used to join natural rocks together or to simulate them).

...To The Grand Tour of Italy
It was the birthplace of John Evelyn in 1620, the famous diarist and landscape gardener who created the first ever Italian Garden in England from between 1643 and 1652 after being inspired by the Italian Renaissance gardens he had seen on his Grand Tour of Italy.
...To The Canadian Army
Used by the Canadian Army in the Second World War, in 1947 it became the national headquarters of the Fire Service and was leased to BT in the early 1980's. It came back to the Evelyn family in 1986 whereby the demolition of the post 1945 buildings commenced.

There's something magestical about getting married at Wotton House…from walking down the aisle of the Old Library to walking across the luxuriant lawn towards the spectacular Roman temple...and then out along the sweeping gravel drive

Getting Married at Wotton House - what to expect
The Old Library is the marriage ceremony room at Wotton House with outside weddings in the Italian Garden and Turtle House.
For the rest of the celebrations guests congregate on the terrace and in the Orangery bar with the wedding breakfast taking place in the adjacent Evelyen Suite.
Old Library wedding photography
The marriage ceremony at Wotton House takes place in the Old Library which has a capacity of up to 140 guests. The room is striking with its wonderful vaulted ceiling, stone columns and large fireplace....a truly memorable place to get married in.
Dressed with flowers and columns of sparkling lights, the walk down the aisle for the Bride on her father's arm is as dramatic an image as you could wish for.
With plenty of natural light pouring in from one side through the stone mullioned windows, full and detailed coverage of the wedding ceremony is assured.
For outdoor weddings in the warmer months there is the Italian Garden with its magnificent Roman Temple backdrop, again with a capacity of up to 140 guests. In addition for smaller wedding sizes there is also the lovely Turtle House, hidden away in its own walled garden.
Evelyn Suite reception photography
The Evelyn Suite, which is a short distance from the Orangery Bar is a large room that can take up to 140 seated guests and has doors opening onto the terrace, looking out onto the Italian Garden with the wonderful view of the impressive Roman Temple.
Used primarily for the wedding breakfast, it is rectangular in shape, the head table sitting in the middle backing onto the windows.
When it's being turned around for the cake cutting, first dance and night time celebrations, guests are ushered to the Orangery Bar or out onto the terrace.
Both rooms become the focal point for the evening and night time celebrations with access also to the Old Libary.

Richard
I love being a documentary wedding photographer, for me it's an all consuming affair and one that is always rewarding. After 15 years and over 500 weddings I still find every one a unique and exciting event. To me it’s not just a job, it is my passion.
Your wedding day is such a special occasion and there will be lots of unforgettable moments that you will want to look back over, again and again. As your trusted and experienced Surrey wedding photographer (I have shot weddings of all sizes, in all venues and all weathers) I will be there capturing all the big important moments that you would expect as well as all those little moments that you never saw or noticed.
I am always focussed (pun intended) on providing you with a wealth of stunning, heart-felt emotional moments and memories that will make you smile with happiness and that you will cherish forever. Always very well presented, I am friendly, cheerful and helpful so you can relax in the knowledge that I will blend in with all your guests and be a truly valuable addition to your day.
"Richard you have a lovely way of making people feel at ease, and many of our guests commented on this"

Tina
Having been a professional, full-time wedding photographer for over twelve years, Tina now concentrates her time in the studio, editing all our wedding images, designing wedding albums and ordering prints, an area that she is passionate about and which perfectly suits her previous interior design skills.
Keeping everything in-house in this way also means we don’t keep our couples waiting longer than they should to see the wonderful picture story of their wedding. We also let you know the date when your photos will be ready to view so you don't have to chase us for an update and we pride ourselves on presenting them on time.
If you want to talk about dresses and make-up then Tina's the one to have a chat with and if you want to talk about anything else, then myself or Tina are here at hand to answer any questions you may have.
Larry
As well as helping us design and constantly improve our website he keeps our systems ticking over nice and smoothly so that everything works tickety-boo.
When Larry is not working with us he is an accomplished full-time artist, exhibiting his eye-catching work in the UK and around the world.
We can't say anymore though or show his face, he's a bit of a Banksy.
